- Min 15 years of experience within the IT space with strong experience in data engineering, development, and analytics.
- At least 8 to 10 years of firsthand experience in Data Warehousing, Big Data, Business Analytics, Machine Learning, Data visualization tools, and relevant technologies is a must.

What you’ll do:
As the Data Engineering and Development Director, you will steer the organization’s technical endeavors in data management, engineering architecture design, and software development of data and analytics products.

| Agile Approach to Data Warehousing & BI | Implement Agile methodologies for data warehousing and BI product development to enhance adaptability and rapid delivery. |
| Data Integration & ETL/ELT/ML | Oversee data integration, ETL/ELT/ML workflows, and data transformations to maintain data quality, accuracy, and consistency. |
| Delivery & Budget Management | Manage scope, requirements, and timelines for data engineering and software development projects. Oversee budget allocation and resource optimization for maximum ROI. |
| Team Management | Lead recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and training of data engineers and developers. Foster a culture of collaboration and technical excellence. |
| Continuous Improvement | Evaluate existing processes and systems to identify optimization opportunities, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and quality. |
| Technology/Product Showcase | Conduct webinars and presentations to showcase technical capabilities, product features, and advancements to stakeholders. |

| Education | Master’s degree in Computer Science/MCA, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. |
| Certifications (Desirable) | Professional certifications in data engineering, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark), and project management (PMP, Agile). |
| Total Experience | Minimum 15 years in IT, with strong experience in data engineering, development, and analytics. |
| Data & Analytics Experience | 8-10 years of hands-on experience in Data Warehousing, Big Data, Business Analytics, Machine Learning, Data Visualization tools. |
| Leadership & Management | Proven experience in leading, managing, and mentoring cross-functional teams (data engineers, developers, analysts, architects). |
| Technical Leadership | Experience in R&D, solution architecture, agile methodologies, and project management. |
| Innovation & Research | Contributing to R&D initiatives, innovation projects, and technical advancements is a plus. |
| Domain Knowledge | Experience in the insurance domain or relevant industries is preferred. |
| Technical Proficiency | Strong expertise in data engineering, ETL processes, data modeling & design principles (e.g., Inmon, Kimball, Data Vault). |
| Data Integration & Workflow | Hands-on experience with data integration tools, data pipelines, and workflow orchestration is good to have. |
| Programming Skills | Proficiency in Python, Java, Scala, or SQL is advantageous. |
| Communication & Collaboration | Strong ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with stakeholders and teams. |
