What’s the Role About?
As a Network Administrator at SharkNinja, your mission will be to design, maintain, and secure complex network infrastructure that supports global operations. You will troubleshoot network issues, manage configurations, implement security protocols, and collaborate with teams to scale network architecture efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain enterprise-grade Cisco networking equipment including switches (Catalyst), routers (ISR), firewalls (FirePower), and wireless controllers (WLC).
- Work on advanced tools and technologies like Cisco ISE, FMC, DNAC, and SD-WAN.
- Provide network support for both wired and wireless systems using LAN/WAN setups with fiber-optic and copper connections.
- Ensure system security through firewalls, access control, and encryption.
- Monitor and improve network performance, reducing downtime and ensuring reliability.
- Regularly update configuration documentation and system diagrams (including Visio).
- Manage support tickets and resolve or escalate them in a timely manner.
- Stay updated with emerging trends in networking and cybersecurity.
- Conduct training sessions, meetings, and workshops to align internal teams.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in network administration.
- Proficiency with Cisco networking appliances including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless systems.
- Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, OSI Model, DHCP, DNS, Syslog, FTP, and SNMP.
- Experience with backup validation, security patching, and system upgrades.
- Ability to create detailed documentation including use cases, test guides, and configuration blueprints.
- Flexibility to work in fast-paced, dynamic environments and occasionally during off-hours.
- On-call availability for critical network support.
