Our platform, Ubuntu, is the #1 OS in the cloud and is central to major initiatives in AI, Data Science, IoT, and engineering. We are a remote-first company with over 1,200 colleagues across 75+ countries.

The Role Canonical’s sales development organization is considered a top-tier technology sales academy. As a BDR, you will collaborate with regional sales and marketing teams to identify customer projects that fit Canonical’s product lines (Cloud, IoT, Enterprise solutions).

Core Responsibilities:

  • Outbound Strategy: Execute outbound sales and marketing campaigns to build a multi-million dollar pipeline.
  • Lead Generation: Research prospective customers and market trends to generate high-quality leads for Senior Sellers.
  • Sales Ownership: Own and close Small-to-Medium Business (SMB) opportunities within your territory.
  • Cross-team Collaboration: Work with senior stakeholders to drive results and define team processes.
  • Global Presence: Travel to international events and conferences to represent Canonical at booths and drive face-to-face sales.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Experience: Proven track record in SDR or outbound sales, consistently exceeding quotas.
  • Background: Experience in enterprise software or technology sales.
  • Education: Exceptional academic record (High School and University).
  • Skills: Professional English (written/spoken), creative problem-solving, and a growth mindset.
  • Travel: Ability to travel internationally twice a year for up to two weeks for company sprints.
